Aave V3 Goes Live on Aptos, Marking First Non-EVM Deployment

Aave V3 has launched on Aptos, a significant milestone as the protocol's first deployment outside the ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) ecosystem. This expansion introduces Aave to the Move language environment, diversifying its multi-chain presence beyond Solidity-based blockchains.

The integration required a complete rebuild of the protocol in Move, including a reimplementation of the Aave Labs interface and adaptation of core logic for the Aptos VIRTUAL Machine. Despite the technical challenges, the team describes the result as a faithful port of Aave V3.3 architecture optimized for Aptos' design.

Chainlink played a pivotal role by providing production-ready price feeds, while security remained a top priority throughout development. The deployment underwent rigorous testing, including formal audits, a Capture-The-Flag competition, and an active bug-bounty program.
